Shipping & Returns



For domestic orders, standard shipping is free over $150 USD, and expedited shipping is available at an increased rate. For domestic orders under $150 USD, we offer a flat shipping rate of $6 USD. We ship our packages via FedEx, though The Sustainable Mask ships via USPS. If you need another shipping carrier option, please email us and we’ll do our best to accommodate. Orders typically ship within 3 business days and are often delivered within 5 business days of being shipped. (Note that we ship everything from our LA factory, so the closer you are to us, the faster your order is likely to arrive!)


International orders over $200 USD ship free. For orders under $200 USD, international shipping rates start at around $30 USD. To avoid any surprises, any applicable duties and taxes are paid at checkout. All international orders ship via DHL Express, and shipping times vary depending on your location.


In light of current global events, please note that returns are being processed at a slower rate than usual. It may take 1-2 weeks to process your return once it is received.

Any orders placed within the context of a sale or any items marked Final Sale (including all styles in the Black Friday Sale collection and items purchased with the LOVE30 or FIRST50 discount code), are ineligible for store credit, refund, or exchange. Other discount codes may be eligible for store credit or refund – please reach out to the team at if you have any questions. Due to hygienic reasons, all purchases of The Sustainable Mask are final sale and ineligible for refund, exchange, or store credit.

To honor holiday gifting, we have extended our return window for standard orders placed in December. Orders will have until January 15th to initiate a return for a refund or store credit. We will not accept returns if the item has been worn and if the tags have been detached. Please ensure that your item is packed in a way that will protect it for the return journey. We will notify you once we receive and begin processing your return! You may access our returns portal at within 14 days of receiving your package. Enter your order number and shipping zip code to begin the return process. We offer prepaid return labels for all eligible domestic returns. While we do not offer direct exchanges, returns for store credit will receive a credit for 100% of the value of the returned item. Your store credit will never expire and can be used toward anything on our site. Returns for refund to the original payment card will incur a $12 handling fee.


Please email within 14 days of receiving your package if you would like to initiate a return. We will provide you with instructions for mailing your item back. Please note that return shipping is currently the customer’s responsibility. You may select store credit or a refund, but packages must be postmarked within three days of contacting us to qualify for a refund.


Due to the limited nature of our pieces, we are unable to hold items for exchange.
