“The most important thing to me is that we’re all family here, and we’re constantly checking in with everyone to make sure if any problems ever arise, we take care of them. My family is my family, but it’s also everyone who works here, so it’s important that they are treated as fairly as possible.”
A typical day for Teresita is overseeing the factory and making sure everyone knows what they’re supposed to be working on. She also organizes the work for the quality control department; she’s constantly fielding questions from them and helping to make sure all the little details are in place—that the dresses that need them have their drawstrings, their snaps, that all those little pieces aren’t lost.
She especially loves the environment in the warehouse—that she’s working with her husband and her daughter every day. They share food, they bring their dogs to work—it really is like one big family. She credits Aras and Christy as being very sweet and easy to work with too. It’s just all around a great place to come to work every day, she says. (Her daughter, Valeria, chimes in here to brag that her mother won the women’s division ping pong tournament two times in a row. “She’s so good!” Valeria insists.)
