If there’s one thing model and blogger Jenny Parry doesn’t have a shortage of it’s beautiful photographs of herself. The wife of fashion photographer Jason Lee Parry reminisces with us about her SoCal-inspired style diary and the perks of being married to a shutterbug.

How would you define your style?
My style is always evolving. I grew up in southern California listening to punk and rock ‘n’ roll and I hung out with skateboarders—so that style is in my blood. My mom always says I was born in the wrong era because I gravitate toward anything from the 60s and 70s. I wear what makes me happy, and it turns out it’s pretty eclectic.
What makes your style diary different from others?
I try to keep it as simple as possible. It’s just me being me so I hope that makes it unique.
What inspires you?
Films, music, my favorite fashion icons, traveling, my past, the weather! Anything that strikes me in my day to day life.
What’s one fashion item you can’t live without?
My oversized motorcycle jacket that I stole from my husband. It’s not very original but it goes with everything. Plus, I get cold when the temperature dips below 75 degrees so it’s practical.
How has modeling affected your lifestyle?
I don’t know what it’s like to have a 9 to 5 job. For me, every day is different so I have to be flexible and at the same time create some sort of schedule in my life. I started modeling right after I graduated from college so it’s been like this for some time now—it’s normal to me.
What are some of your fall “must have” pieces of clothing?
A hot pair of ankle boots, silky 90s-ish slip dresses that I can layer stuff over, a shag coat and anything in mustard yellow or orangey-red.
