“No matter how a piece of clothing looks, it cannot be considered beautiful if, in producing it, the environment is destroyed or people are exploited. When deciding on what to wear, we all have an obligation to consider how it’s made and the impact that process has on the planet and its people.”
The lightweight pink and red paisley fabric we used is rescued deadstock fabric that was left over from a larger fashion house. By using deadstock fabric we save hundreds of thousands of gallons of water annually and keep the planet clean. We recommend eco dry cleaning this fabric.
“I’m the last hand that touches the dresses before they’re ready to leave the warehouse, so I really take my time and make sure each one is perfect!”Rocio is the head of finishing, where all the pieces are pressed and any last details are added or checked for perfection. She makes sure that final stage is really thorough and detail-oriented. She loves that she’s able to take such care in her job, and really take her time with each dress. In her time off, she loves to knit—especially scarves, which she realizes is funny given that she lives in Los Angeles!
