“No matter how a piece of clothing looks, it cannot be considered beautiful if, in producing it, the environment is destroyed or people are exploited. When deciding on what to wear, we all have an obligation to consider how it’s made and the impact that process has on the planet and its people.”
Our dresses are made from rescued deadstock fabric that was left over from larger fashion houses. By using deadstock fabric we save hundreds of thousands of gallons of water annually and help keep the planet clean. When we purchase deadstock, the fabric content is rarely known. For this reason, we are only able to give you our best description of the fabric; the Taupe feels like a soft rayon and eco dry cleaning is recommended!
“I work the overlock machines, so once all the pieces of a dress are cut I’m the first person it’s handed to!”The overlock machines are used to close seams together and Kathy has been doing that for Christy Dawn for three years. She likes being the first person to touch any given dress; she feels like she gets to set the next person up for success that way. She is very religious and looks forward to going to church in her free time.
