“No matter how a piece of clothing looks, it cannot be considered beautiful if, in producing it, the environment is destroyed or people are exploited. When deciding on what to wear, we all have an obligation to consider how it’s made and the impact that process has on the planet and its people.”
The lightweight red fabric we used is rescued deadstock fabric that was left over from a larger fashion house. By using deadstock fabric we save hundreds of thousands of gallons of water annually and keep the planet clean. We recommend eco dry cleaning this fabric.
Rebecca is seamstress vet. With over 32 years in the industry, she has worked in roughly seven fashion houses, and she loves it. Rebecca works her magic on the single needle machine and makes the Lennon, Daisy and Quinn Dress. But she pointed out she loves working in all areas of the dressmaking process. Rebecca started working with Christy Dawn in February of 2018, but she and Don P have worked together before. She said the quality of people here stands out to her; everyone is so kind and not out for themselves, but work together and support each other.
Rebecca loves Sundays with her husband, they make breakfast together, stop by the park, and then head to the swap meet.
